Lab-FLARE® LT-1 Light-tight imaging box for all imaging systems and heads, including eyepiece-coupled devices

FLARE® imaging systems are highly sensitive to near-infrared (NIR) light. Because natural sunlight, incandescent light bulbs, and some fluorescent light bulbs emit significant levels of NIR wavelengths, certain experiments are best performed in a light-tight enclosure. The FLARE® light-tight enclosure is a highly versatile, modular system that can accommodate all FLARE® imaging heads as well as eyepiece-coupled devices, while providing conduits for tubing, wiring, and other experimental apparatus. Features of the system include:

  • A baseplate made of special material and surface processing to produce ultralow autofluorescence
  • Magnetic latching front door with continuous light-tight gasket
  • Modular design permitting working distances of 6”, 9”, 12”, and 15” for XC2/XC2v imaging heads and 12”, 15”, and 18” for X1 imaging heads.
  • Access ports on left, back, and right for passing anesthesia tubing, wires, etc. across the enclosure
  • Access ports on right side for use with eyepiece-coupled devices having 30˚ or 45˚ bevels
  • Access port on top for use with eyepiece-coupled devices having 30˚ or 45˚ bevels
  • Adhesive-backed thick velvet for creating light-tight seals of complex apparatus

CURADEL will provide the following service and support for FLARE Devices during the term of the applicable warranty.

  1. Curadel will provide assistance to the customer through our support phone number (508-305-2355), Skype, or via email.
  2. Curadel technicians will connect remotely to the device (an Internet connection is required) at a time of the customer’s choosing to guide them through troubleshooting steps for the device.
  3. If unable to resolve the issue remotely the buyer may package the device in its original shipping crate and it send back to Curadel for repair at the company’s headquarters in Worcester, MA. If the device Warranty has expired, the cost of shipping the device to Worcester and back will be borne by the customer.

Customers of Curadel FLARE® devices may opt to purchase Curadel Platinum Service, a comprehensive maintenance and service contract that will cover each purchased device for an additional 12 (twelve) months beyond the expiration of the warranty. All maintenance and repairs on devices not under an active warranty or service contract in need of repair will be billed at the standard labor rate plus cost of parts.

The above warranties do not cover defects resulting from improper or inadequate maintenance, installation, repair or calibration performed by Customer or a third party not authorized by CURADEL; Customer or third party supplied hardware or software, interfacing or supplies; unauthorized modification; improper use or operation outside of the Specification for the Product; abuse, negligence, accident, loss or damage in transit; or improper site preparation.
