ZW800-1 Maleimide

ZW800-1-Mal is a zwitterionic, general-purpose NIR fluorophore with peak emission ≈ 800 nm for use with Channel #2 of the FLARE® imaging system. Equipped with a highly reactive maleimide functionality, ZW800-1-Mal can label virtually any small molecule, peptide, peptidomimetic, protein, antibody, or nanoparticle having a free thiol in a single-step reaction using mild conditions. Because of its “zwitterionic” chemical structure, it exhibits extremely low non-specific binding and uptake in vitro and in vivo, and can help solubilize poorly soluble targeting ligands. ZW800-1-Mal is a member of the Ligand-Match™ family of labeling reagents and is available with a variety of spacers between the fluorophore and the maleimide group.
